How much is my Hermes bag actually worth?
It depends far more on the specification than the model. A Birkin 30 in Togo with palladium hardware in excellent condition sits in a very different place from the same bag in a seasonal colour with worn corners. Do I need the box and receipt?
Yes. We buy complete sets only: the bag, the key, the box and the original receipt. That is what lets us authenticate quickly and pay the same day, and it is why the prices on this page are what they are. If something is missing, ring the desk before you write the bag off, because there are cases we can still work with.
The bag is worn. Corners, a mark, a stretched handle.
Condition is not the problem, completeness is. Almost everything we buy has been carried, so photograph the worst of it directly and send it anyway. An honest photo gets you an honest offer that does not move when the buyer arrives, which is the whole point of doing it this way.
Will the offer change when you see it in person?
Only if the bag is materially different from the photos, and then we tell you why and you are free to walk away. You are never obliged to sell and nothing leaves your hands until the transfer shows in your account.
Is it really two hours?
Two hours from authentication, on a banking day. Faster Payments is near instant between UK banks, so the variable is travel, not money. Book a morning slot if you want it done before lunch.
How do I know this is not a scam?
You keep the bag until the money clears. The buyer carries identification, the company is registered at Companies House, and if you would rather meet inside your own bank branch that is where we will come. Several sellers a month ask for exactly that and we are glad when they do.
Why would I not just use a consignment site?
If you have six months, you might get a higher headline number. Look at the table above though: after 20 to 40 per cent commission, fees and the price cut most consigned bags eventually need, sellers frequently net less than an outright sale and wait half a year to find out.
What do you not buy?
Replicas, bags we cannot authenticate, and bags without the full set. If the blind stamp, hardware or stitching does not hold up we stop and tell you plainly, at no cost. We do not make an insulting offer on a bag we have doubts about.
Do you buy outside London?
Yes, anywhere in the UK. In London a buyer comes to you the same day. Elsewhere we book a fully insured courier, covered to the full offer value from the moment it leaves your hands.
